"The difficulty of literature is not to write, but to write what you mean; not to affect your reader, but to affect him precisely as you wish." ~ Robert Louis Stevenson

Gerbils

Something to gnaw
Something to eat
Something to gnaw
Somewhere to sleep
Most of our world
Inside this cage
Living our lives
In boxed-off space
Happy to come out
For cage-cleaning time
Happy to go back
To burrow and hide
Something to gnaw
Something to eat
Something to gnaw
Somewhere to sleep
